Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

I just moved in to a place on Drummond Pl in Lincoln Park and I had my bike on my second floor, street-facing balcony unlocked. I know if was there Sunday night and when I went to ride it Tuesday morning it was gone. There is a ledge below my balcony that someone must have jumped up on and climbed onto my porch to take the bike sometime between Sunday night, July 29th and Tuesday morning, July 21st.

Arrived back from breakfast to find the bike was no longer there.

Locked and left the bike on the second tier rack at the Loyola CTA stop when it began raining heavily around 3 PM. Came back around the same time the following day and it was gone with no sign of it or the lock.

Bike was taken out of our garage along with a silver jamis hybrid

Bike was parked infront of work place and then missing at lunch time. No lock left behind

Bike was locked near Oak Park Green Line Station

Bicycle was locked in front of 845 W. Wilson in Uptown. When I came out it was gone, not even the lock remained. On 6-16-16, the CSBR received the following email from the (former) victim: Thank you! Because of help from Find Stolen Bikes! I recovered my Trek 2300, stolen in Uptown 10 months ago. The short version: someone posted my bike for sale on Facebook, gave a serial number, and several individuals reached out to let me know. I contacted police (not expecting much help); however, a detective got back to me the same day, contacted the seller, and retrieved the bike. They weren't able to get much info about who may have initially stolen it, but I got my bike back and am grateful.

I had two bikes, the other was a matte black Giant hybrid, adult small. Bikes were in the garage overnight. I went out this morning for 2 hours and when I came home, my garage door was wide open (the light on the opener was on, so it had been opened very recently) both of my bikes were stolen. I'm the only one home with a remote, so I'm not sure how the door was opened.

I have two bikes, the other is an blue fixi with an argyle pattern on it. Bikes were in the garage overnight. The bike was in a storage room in my building locked to itself and to my red 2011 Cannondale CAAD8. Both bikes were taken. The door to the storage room is locked and not broken. It's possible someone with key access took them. The building management has been notified.

Bike was in a locked storage room in my building and locked to another bike of mine (2014 black Trek Crossrip Comp) with cables and u-lock. Someone took both bikes. The door is not broken which suggests the possibility the culprit may be someone in the building with access to the room.

Bike was locked to metal pole out the residential building. Lock was left unopened and not damaged. my guess is they somehow managed to open the frame and take the lock out. It should have been caught on camera. There is a camera right above the spot where the bike was parked.

My bike was locked on a bike rack on McClurg Ct. in Streeterville. I am a dog walker and park it there everyday in the same place and in the same way as I walk dogs. I walked a dog on E. North Water Street for an hour between 4:00 and 5:00. I walked past it during my dog walk and it was there and totally intact but when I left the dog's home to ride it, it was gone.

Bike was locked to bike rack near the Art Institute and Millennium Park during a concert in the park.

The bike was on my private 2nd floor balcony behind my apartment. The last time I can confirm seeing it was Thursday evening (7/19). It was stolen sometime between then and Saturday afternoon (718).
